Peter Simcock presented a lecture on the use of Nurse Practitioners in the treatment of wet age related macular degeneration patients with Nurse Practitioners treating patients with intravitreal injections.  Mr Simcock was the first Consultant in the UK to train, accredit and audit this method of service delivery and it has subsequently been adopted in other units in the UK. He also presented a lecture on the mobile glaucoma service that has been developed in Exeter by the glaucoma team.
