The West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) is a purpose built NHS facility within the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
It is conveniently located on passing through the main entrance of the hospital to the right of the reception area. I am also an NHS consultant with clinics and a theatre list at WEEU each week. As a substantive consultant, the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust allows me to perform surgery on more complex patients at this location in the early evening after my regular NHS list on a Tuesday. Surgery can be under local or general anaesthetic at WEEU.
