The West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) is a purpose built facility within the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
It is conveniently located on passing through the main entrance of the hospital to the right of the reception area. I am able to consult at the WEEU and can perform cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery in WEEU theatres. This is the only location in Exeter that has the facility to perform surgery for macular holes, epiretinal membranes, retinal detachment, diabetic eye disease and floaters. Surgery can be under local or general anaesthetic at WEEU.
