Peter Simcock, The Eye Expert, attended a symposium on Femtosecond laser cataract surgery at the Centre for Sight in East Grinstead in November 2013.  This meeting included live surgical demonstrations of laser cataract surgery and may become the way cataract surgery is performed in the future.  This technique is not currently available in Exeter at present. Mr Simcock is still evaluating the pros and cons of this technique before considering adopting this approach to surgery.
